College Stats is a new kind of site about higher education.
You won’t find faked “reviews”, or even qualitative reviews by students or professionals; instead, what you’ll find is statistics: numbers, quantitative data, and facts. All of which can help you make an informed decision on where to go to college.
College Stats was established as the place to go to find location and financial aid information, acceptance rates, demographics, and any other hard data relating to colleges. The company was started in 2009 by three young, analytical-minded men, who wanted to take the confusion out of comparing colleges for the next generation.
About Our Data: College Stats uses freely available data collected by the U.S. Department of Education — something to supplement our own data and content. Most data reflected on the College Stats Web site was collected from The National Center of Education Statistics. The current data is from the 2012-2013 reporting years. We will continue to update the data as it’s released.
All tuition data was gathered from each school’s website in early 2014. These costs may have changed since then, so please contact the schools directly for the most up-to-date tuition information.
The College Stats Mission Statement: To help students make an informed decision when choosing a college.
